Sofie Fransen

The secret behind every operation

Sofie Fransen is a surgeon, combining her cutting work with managerial roles. During her keynote, she takes you into the operating theatre. With anecdotes from the shop floor, she talks about surgical precision work. It is precisely by looking at work with a surgical eye that business processes might improve. A serious matter, sometimes also brought light-heartedly. Sofie effortlessly translates her experiences to business and turns typical office language into story and image.

About Sofie Fransen

About Sofie Fransen

Sofie has a varied work experience within the medical sector; from general practitioner to consultant in the pharmaceutical industry to surgeon with administrative positions. The combination of these experiences gives her a broad perspective on all kinds of processes. This taught her to better analyse and appreciate different perspectives. She regularly varies her perspective, sometimes looking through surgeon's glasses then again through administrative lenses or from the patient's point of view. This produces insights that she enjoys sharing, both with professional and informal audiences.

She likes to be on stage as a speaking surgeon to take the audience into her world; preferably with a touch of humour, a healthy dose of enthusiasm and a reasonable portion of sobriety (for a Belgian, that is).
