At 16, Joyce received a diagnosis that dramatically changed her future prospects: "you will become deaf and blind". Slowly, she is losing her two senses that allow her to communicate and function independently. She lives in a continuous process of change with the choice: how do I deal with this? Despite everything, Joyce sees the world positively, because, as she says so herself: "I don't need to be able to see to have a vision AND I don't need to be able to hear to be heard."
Joyce shares her beautiful life story with her best personal insights combined with the psychology of change.
Thus, she holds up the same mirror to hundreds of professionals, managers, entrepreneurs and their employees in a surprising way and with a touch of humour every week: down or forward?
Her listeners discover that any change can be the breeding ground and catalyst for future opportunities and successes.
In addition to being a speaker, Joyce is also the author of 'Not Hearing Not Seeing Not Shutting Up', among others.
Joyce also speaks on Diversity & inclusion:
Many people often see diversity and inclusion as a 'must'. Fulfilling D&I is not 'because then you are doing so much good for society'; rather, it enriches your team or organisation!
Become aware of the value of people's differences. And recognise that different bubbles in your organisation is more valuable than everyone in the same bubble.
With the keynote 'From box vision to bubbles', Joyce will break with the stereotypical approach to D&I, share several stories with practical tips and take your organisation from 'having to' to 'wanting to'.
