Sensus, or sensibility, represents using all the senses to convey a message. It is about creating an experience for your audience so that they feel engaged with what you are saying. Sensus types are touched by the feeling a speaker gives them.
Are you highly developed on Sensus? If this is the case, you are also likely to come across as empathetic, sensitive and attentive to others. You win others over through your attention, dedication and support. You create good feelings in others through sympathy and trust. As a speaker, you are sensitive to how others feel (emotion) and like to express this. You manage to act from the here and now. You do this intuitively and benefit from keeping your listeners on their toes. When another boring content story is told and you see the audience falling asleep, you think, "Doesn't that person feel that the audience is not there?". No, indeed, so he or she doesn't feel that, but you do!
Corpus, or body language, is the way you use your body (and the stage on which you present) to reinforce your message. Corpus types are touched by the way a speaker poses and moves on stage.
As a Corpus speaker, you may be able to 'talk' with your whole body and make your intentions clear to others, even without using many words. People literally read from your body what kind of game you play. You are aware of how you dress, how your hair sits and whether your eyebrows are dancing. And it's not just your hands or the position of your hips and shoulders that matter. You are also sensitive to the facial expressions of others and you regularly hear that you have an expressive face. You take up space naturally; you won't be a wallflower anytime soon. Which is just as well, because the stage can't be big enough for you.
Intellektus, or intellect, is about the content of your presentation and how to convey it in an engaging way. An important aspect of Intellektus is presenting facts in an objective and reasoned manner. Intellektus types are therefore enthralled by the facts a speaker presents.
As an Intellektus speaker, you prepare well, work thoughtfully and with deliberation. You know how to convince through substance, accuracy, clarity and analysis. You are good at talking about content. Your listeners trust you because you always have a method, an example or analysis. After all, you are the master of your subject. You can reason contemplatively and, thus, know how to keep the listener captivated until the end. You can make difficult things easy, by guiding people step by step.
Lingua, or language use, is consciously choosing the right words and phrases to make your message even more persuasive. Lingua-types are therefore quickly moved by visual language and a speaker's choice of words. Lingua speakers hit the nail on the head, weigh their words, take the words out of your mouth and have the right words for it. They speak descriptively and convince you with metaphors and stories. Their voice rings like a bell.
Could this apply to you? Then you are strong in Lingua. You have a story for every question, but you are also aware of how your voice sounds, how you use pauses and intonations. In other words, you are pleasant to listen to.
